Abstract

Self-employed workers integrate a sector that, together with the Socialist State Enterprise and the rest of the economic actors, have developed in Cuba in the last decades. The minority rate of intervention in the economic system of self-employed workers, presented a turning point from 2010, as a result of the successive legislative reforms, of which they were the object. Therefore, the enactment of a legal regulation that will enable in an orderly and safe manner the constitution and operation of MSMEs in Cuba is urgent, as it will allow these actors to provide them with legal security, as well as their own legal status that will enable them to be subject to rights and obligations.
