Legal Protection of the Environment in the Cuba Criminal Code

Environmental Law affects its regulation in various areas of regulations. The comprehensive protection of the environment requires a close interrelation of this matter with the rest of the legal system. This is why Criminal Law must remain updated and in tune with the evolution of the environment. Given its preventive nature and taking into account that in environmental crimes there is an advancement of criminal conduct, it must be planned to avoid injury, so it is necessary to have the existence of actions carried out in violation of the standards established in a manner that the risk of damage to the environment can be reduced.
